Road Sign Assist

My 2022 Fortuner has been going nicely, on fine days road sign assist has been working fine.

Today on a wet foggy day it had trouble recognizing some.

I rang Toyota they said that was normal, have others found this?

yes thats normal. at the end of the day its a camera , and can be confused by environmental factors , light scatter etc. All you can do is keep the windscreen clean and give it the best chance it has to work as it can. Same as the grille badge it has to be clean in order to work as intended.
I never rely 100% on tech anyway itn not infallible
