  • Staying underground at Coober Pedy

At Coober Pedy for a stopover on the way to Uluru. Kids are getting their first taste of underground accommodation. Saw one other Fortuner on the entire 1500+ km journey so far and it was in Coober Pedy.

In contrast, the camping ground at Yulara is Fortuner central. I've seen 2 leaving and 2 coming in.

Doing a bit of outback SA and NT. In Alice Springs now. Taking the Oodnadatta track later on the way to the Flinders Ranges. It's the first big adventure for the Fortuner. So far it's handling well. Seen the most Fortuners I've ever seen in NT.

That's great to know. Right now, I'm currently looking for replacement tires that I can take for an open country drive. Not sure if I should stick with Toyo tires like this one http://4wheelonline.com/Toyo_Tires.202664 or should I just look for other option.

The GXL I bought came with Bridgestone Dueller AT tyres. They've handled well so far.
