  • Carpet Mats

Toyota doesn’t offer carpet floor mats so ordered these. Not bad value at $99 delivered in under a week from Melbourne to Adelaide for two front mats and a single long mat for the 2nd row.

The mats are made from a good quality carpet and fit the contours very well. They have a rubbery under surface that grips well and the drivers mat has recessed eyelets for the floor clips. Once down they don’t move.

Thanks for the heads up Eddie, yeah it seems like you can only get the rubber ones. I am sure there will be a few people interested in that

      Eddie, thanks for the post.
Am about to purchase a Crusade with the brown leather (why did anyone not think at Toyota that black might not be 'the' safe choice..... & who said "Yes - woodgrain !", or more correctly "Mokume o hai!" - they need an upper cut). Lucky the rest of the package does as it intends !
I had a look at a Crusade today and my guess on the mat colour on custom carpets to match the Crusade carpet is "grey", rather than the charcoal. What model / interior is yours ?
      Thanks.

Great tip. Just purchased the dash mat and carpet set - let you know how they go with the GX interior! The shiny black dash will be less reflective for sure...

Got genuine front & rear rubber mats from Toyota for $140. That is if you want rubber rather than carpet.

Sorry with taking so long to reply.

I have the GXL with the standard dark brown cloth interior and dark grey carpets and do not know whether the GXL and Crusade have different coloured carpets.

I purchased the Black mats that have a 1cm wide “grey” edge piping. The main “black” of the mats is slightly darker than the carpet colour whereas the "grey” edge piping on the mats is slightly lighter that the carpets. There is a slight difference in colours however they blend very well together and do not look out of place.

Looking at the Available Colours on the web site I would expect the “charcoal” mats would be even closer to the carpet colour and the “grey” mats would be a quite a bit lighter than the carpet colour.

Hi all, I have just joned up as we just purchased a new silver fortuner GXL. I am looking for after market things to protect the new toy without paying genuine prices. Things like headlight protectors, dash mats, rubber floor mat, bonnet protector, boot liners etc. Went to see what repco had and they said the car is too new and didn't have much for it. Does anyone know a good source for after market bits mentioned or are we all running genuine protective bits?

Hi Zuids, welcome to the forum!

For most, the goal is everything OEM but given the original pricing many go aftermarket as you mentioned.

There are plenty of bonnet protectors and weather shields on eBay which are as good or similar to OEM, at just over half price I was pleasantly surprised:

                    Example (Not affiliated) - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Weathersh...EAAOSwx2dYJozo

I haven't purchased the OEM cargo mat as yet but the floor mats on eBay appear to be the same as the factory delivered OEM models.

Just scratching the surface but hope that helps...
                    Kind Regards,

Hi Zuids, I got the geniun rubber mats front & back, and the cargo Matt too, I also have over the top some deep dish rubber matts to catch the sand from the my feet, easy to wipe out, stops the sand getting into the carpet (never really comes out!!) I got the genius seat covers too which pretty happy with, nine months in no probs and no real wear. Haven't got light protectors or bonnet yet. Thinking of getting a scuff bumper protector as already have a few scratches there, I have only seen on eBay.

                          Congrats Zuids and welcome!

As stated, Ebay is great for these things, and some sellers do sell OEM at a discount (albeit small!)

Just picked up a new Crusade, (recently upgraded spec) and can confirm that Toyota now offer carpet mats for purchase, front & rear.
