  • Oil level warning light

Have just had my 2016 Tuna in for its 60000 km service.
Twice in the last 10 days a warning has come up on the dash for “low oil / replace oil”. It flashed for only a couple of seconds then disappeared.
I stopped and checked the oil level. Level still full. Have only traveled 1000 km since the service (about 3 weeks ago)
Anyone else had a similar problem?? If so what was the solution??
    Cheers

The warning message has appeared a few times for me, but only when travelling at an extreme angle off road.

Mine has done it a few times. Took it in and they "tested" it and said its fine. If it comes up again ill go in and get it replaced. If you can, get a photo of it, for evidence next time you go in

its most likely a faulty oil level sensor , on the left side of the sump. A few have reported this issue but not many

https://toyota-club.net/files/faq/15...engine_eng.htm this may show it im not sure

              Thanks for the info folks.
The warning flashed while driving on normal road.
Spoke to Toyota today. Good response from them. Going in tomorrow for them to inspect.
Apparently not a common known issue
              Will let you know

" not a known issue " , "first we have heard of that" - standard dealer responses .

Oil level sensor turned out to be faulty
                  Replaced under warranty
                  Crisis averted
Had I had to pay fir it the sensor was about $238 + install
