Windscreen heater wire

Hi guys

I noticed that the front windscreen has a heater wire that extends down about 15 cm to the right of the rear view mirror. On the weekend I was out in the snow and the windscreen fogs up considerably around this area. I have looked in the manual and cant find anything; but would anyone know how to activate this wire?

I had the front demister activated and that was simply air with AC activated, no heater wire activated.

Funny I've always thought it was a radio / GPS antenna.

I had thought that, but apparently that is all through the fin on the roof...?

That wire is the DAB antenna for the digital radio. I'm not sure it it is installed in all models but it is present in our crusade. We have after market digital radio in our other cars and have had to install a identical antenna in each of them as well.
