  • Turbo treatment....

    Hey all,
Ive never owned an auto turbo diesel. Is there preferred methods of shutting the car down after driving? Most of my driving is hwy (110km/hr) and then 5mins city driving speeds to my door? Should I let it idle for a few mins.....
Im trying to gather plenty of info before the crusade arrives late next week.

    Cheers

Mate if the last 5 mins of your drive is in the burbs at pretty slow speeds the engine an turbo are pretty much cooled down by the time you turn into the driveway. If you want to be super careful, let it idle for 30 to 60 secs after you pull up, but probably not necessary.
    Cheers.

I was always under the understanding that after doing 100 for any period of time, anything under 60 for about 5 mins would be fine.
Happy to be told otherwise though.
