  • Tyre Placard

    Hello all.
I have a GX Auto & I can't find the tyre placard, does anyone know where it is?
The owners manual states 29psi for cold tyres and using the 4psi rule for cold tyres 33psi still seems to be low.
    Any thoughts?

Also on a side note I can't find the load rating for the roof.
Does anybody know what it is?

    Any help would be great.
    Thanks.

OK found it. (don't know I missed it)

75kg is the capacity of my roof racks so that works.

          Thanks Lufkin

Although your racks can take 75kilos. You need to know the weight of the racks themselves. Eg if they are 30kilos. You can only put 45kilos on the roof

              Yep was aware of that.
Shouldn't be getting anywhere near that, they weigh less than 10kgs.
              Thanks Lufkin.

We were told by the service mgr at handover to run 38psi around town irrespective of the tyre placard. He said to drop them to about 33psi when on dirt roads.

                  BJ.

way to high,25-28 for dirt even less for sand or corrugations 20-25 psi is fine, highway driving 30-32 psi.

I've got some older Rhino Vortex bars from my previous car.
I just had to buy some new Rhino clamps to make them fit.
They fit well although I haven't used them for anything yet. I'll only use mine for fishing & camping gear.

That sounds more realistic to me.

I don't leave them on the car, I generally only put them on when I need them.
But next time they're on I'll take a couple of photos.
