Put my rhino evolution 3d bar on yesterday and am pretty bloody happy with it. It looks awesome and was actually pretty easy to install. Just need the lift kit and some muddies and I'll be set. Was in two minds about whether I should get it colour coded or not but decided on black because of all the black trim and it usually goes good with blue. Am definitely happy with the black and can always get it sprayed if I really want to but will prob stick with how it is. Before anyone even asks, no it doesn't provide as good protection against roo strikes as a triple loop type, although it does still give much better protection than a bumper or nudge bar, but I didn't really buy it for that. I got it for protection while off-roading, better approach angles and the ability to mount a winch and it does all of that while maintaining the sleek modern look that I wanted.

Cheers, I'm really happy with it. Definitely the look I was going for.
Its the 1200x1500. Looked at the bigger one but it has the same load rating of 80kg on road and 50kg off road and figured if I had the bigger one I would just be overloading it if I filled it up. I find its plenty big enough for what I want.

I was considering the Rhino bar, but went for a standard style to get the extra protection of the loops.
Moving on, I am also considering the exact same roof rack as yours. Why the platform and not the tray? And if it's not rude to ask, what should I budget for such a setup? Thanks.

I considered an arb sahara but it still didn't look how I wanted and I know I would have been kicking myself if I had settled for something I didn't really want. Thats the beauty of owning a 4wd, kitting it out how you want it so it suits your needs.
I wanted a platform because I wanted to keep it as low and aerodynamic as possible because 90% of the time its empty, I have a low garage and I often have to park in city carparks for work and sides would push the car up to and above the height restrictions of lots of carparks and would not fit in the garage. Also I don't really see the need of having sides, everything always gets tied down so they don't really serve much purpose with regard to keeping stuff on the rack and finally when I carry longer stuff on the roof like timber etc it sits flat spreading weight evenly over the platform rather than it all sitting on the front and back rails. My last car had a basket type setup and I much prefer the platform.
I paid $850 for it on special with 15% off, standard price is $998. Installed it myself to save the $100 fitting fee, did it in a couple of hours by myself. I shopped around a bit and everyone just sells it at rrp so it pays to find it on special if you can.

Yeah they aren't cheap but they look so much better than any other bar so worth it imo. Not sure exactly what it weighs but I lifted the whole thing with winch mounted in it onto the front by myself so doubt its much over 50kgs with the winch. If you go on their website and email them they're really helpful and will give you all the info you need.
The dobinsons kit was $1500 installed.

The next best price I got was $2100. I was surprised when they quoted $1500 cos I couldn't even get it supply only online for that. I'm in adelaide so that's Adelaide price not Sydney. Am very happy with the setup so far, bit firmer than stock but was expecting that and it handles really well, settles after bumps quickly. Make sure you go for comfort springs unless you plan on constantly having lots of weight in the back. I only ever have lots in on trips so didn't want rock hard suspension for 90% of the time. Have taken back seats out too which reduces the weight by a bit anyway. I do plan on a rear bar at some point ( when someone brings out a decent looking one) but will upgrade springs if I need to then.
