    Gday guys
Good to see the Fortuner site. I am just scoping all the info I can to help me decide if the 2014 GXL Landcruiser gets replaced by a Fortuner. Bought the cruiser because of the Towing capacity but dont really enjoy driving an auto and its a bit big around town. I use to have a Forerunner and have fond memories of that. I was thinking of a Manual Crusade in Blue or white but the dealer I did talk to said that maybe a special order, he thinks most crusades will be auto. Of course being a Toyota dealer he never rang me back with availability as promised.
    Anyone here seen one?
    Cheers

    Welcome to the forum Bryan,

Seems like you have a pretty big decision on your hands there. The big landy is an exceptional vehicle as well but as you say, a really big hunk of metal.

On the availability, a few guys have been battling to get them with a bit of a waiting period, but I don't see why a dealer would turn down a potential sale, manual or not. They say they are available so they should at the very least get back to you. I have only seen the GX in manual with plenty of autos around.

I suppose the Fortuner would be the closest thing to the 4runner and if you are happy with the downsize it may be the go.

Anyway, hopefully I can get more info onto the forum in the next little while to help with your decision.

    Cheers,
    Shaun

welcome Bryan, I was looking for a manual and I was told that there is 3 manuals in perth at the moment in perth dealerships. Most manuals are GX. A manual GXL in blue was going to be a 3 or 4 month wait apparently. in the end, the auto is ok, and the paddle shift actually holds gears and doesn't take control ie if you floor it in second, it will go to redline and stay in second not shift up without input.. well it didn't on the demo car!!!!

Try City Toyota Mate. No I have no connection to them or the staff. But bought mine there. Good people.
